Know Me 2048 + S8656

Pattern Description: Men's Knit Top and Joggers
Pattern Sizing: 44 - 52. I cut a size 52. I made these joggers for myself based on my waist (48") and hip (51") measurements. I wanted a loose fit.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes. I love this look!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy and there is a video tutorial if needed.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that this was an easy project. I love the drop crotch look and I've been looking for an easy pattern that would fit my body type. I found it!
Fabric Used: I am not sure what this fabric is. I think this is a poly knit and terry knit blend. It's lightweight and breathable but not see-through.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I shortened the length at the fold line for the pants' cuff. I made that fold line the end of my leg. I also added a ribbed knit band to the bottom (which put the length back). At first I added a wide leg band the same width of the bottom. But it didn't give me the look I was going for. So, I removed it and made the band smaller for a more cuffed look. This look was more like a jogger. I also used elastic cording and cording pulls. I had to use 3/4" elastic in the top casing because the 1" elastic didn't fit (I must have messed up my casing stitches - lol).
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Oh YES and YES! I'm super excited that this will be a TNT pattern. I love when a project comes together just as planned. Next time, I plan to leave the length and still add the ribbed knit band.
Conclusion: I paired this look with Simplicity 8656 top with a banded bottom. I love that this can be dressed up or down.

Pattern Description: Misses' Knit Skirt and Top
Pattern Sizing: XXS - XXL. I cut a XXL. I made the top...again. LOL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Somewhat, I made a few alterations.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, I don't even use the instructions anymore to make this top. But this pattern has 1 pattern piece for the top and the skirt. So easy. I've done a whole video series on YouTube on this top and how to hack it. Watch it HERE!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is a TNT for me and I've made it several times. It kind of serves as my top pattern block.
Fabric Used: I think this is a poly knit and terry knit blend. It's lightweight and breathable but not see-through.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added a ribbed knit band to the bottom hem. I used the same fabric to make a neckband. I rolled up the sleeve to make a cuff. I tacked it down in the seams.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Of course!
Conclusion: I wore this top with Know Me 2048 pants. I made a matching Fanny Pack.
