M7120

Pattern Description: McCall’s Pullover Dress and Belt
Pattern Sizing: 14-22. I cut a size 22 for view D
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love a quick and easy project.
Fabric Used: Stretch Linen Look Viscose from Minerva. I just love this fabric, by the way.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I decided to use bias binding instead of the neck and arm facings. I also decided not to make the belt.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Definitely yes.

I am trying to do better with wastefulness and sustainability. So with the leftover scraps I made a drawstring top and necktie for my husband. The pattern for the drawstring top came from a book I found in my library at the school where I am the librarian by Donna Lawson, If you can’t go naked, here are clothes to sew fast. It was quick and easy to make. Then I decided to make a necktie for my husband. I didn’t have quite enough fabric to cut the pieces out on the bias but I cut it out on the bias as close as I could. This pattern/tutorial came from the online Sew It Academy by Mimigstyle (menswear). This was also a quick tutorial and allowed me to make something else for my dear husband. This fabric is amazing and I could wear it all year round.
