Pattern Description: Misses' Hoodies and Leggings by Mimi G
Pattern Sizing: 12 - 20. I cut a size 18.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, somewhat. I hacked this pattern by making it into a hoodie dress.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, instructions were very easy and as per usual there is a video tutorial.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love and I mean absolutely LOVE this pattern. I love the banded bottom, the facing detail on the side and the whole design. I'll be honest, when I first saw the pattern, I wasn't feeling it. Then I saw Mimi's hoodie dress and I knew I had to make this.
Fabric Used: I used a cotton terry knit. Other accessories: cording, cording stops, and iron on letters.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I traced the pattern in the size I needed. I cut the traced pattern at the waistline marking. At the desired length, I added paper in the middle to create my new hoodie dress pattern. It turned out way better than I expected.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? YES! I already have one cut out in a rust cotton terry knit. I want one of these for every day of the week. This can be dressed up or down with sneakers. I love all of the details and topstitching!
