3 Piece Set
Made with Zelouf! I used Danielle Stretch Satin in Neutral from Zelouf to make this look.
The Pants - I wanted to recreate the sport glam jogger pants look from Sew Daily; however, the pattern didn’t come in my size. So I used Burda 6702 - the bottom portion of the jumpsuit. I shortened the length and added ribbed knitting. I also added ribbed knitting for the waist band. This wasn’t the best idea since the waist ended up being too loose. (I’ll have to fix that later).
The Top - I used Simplicity 8656 - old faithful. I added ribbed knitting to the sleeves and the bottom. I’ll wear it off the shoulder.
The Skirt - I used the Mood Sewciety Indigo Skirt pattern to make this bias cut skirt. This was my first time making a bias cut skirt and I’m in love. I love the movement of this skirt. It was a little tight, so next time I make this skirt, I will need to adjust the hip area. Overall, I like it. I’m ready to try my hand at a bias cut dress.
The Hat - I used the Newsboy Hat pattern by VitArty on Etsy. This was a straightforward pattern with a lining, band, and visor. I added a “Hello Kitty” patch for fun. I will definitely make this again.
The Fanny Pack - I used the Proper Fit Clothing fanny pack pattern. These patterns are inexpensive and come with a video tutorial. I love their bag and fanny pack patterns. I added a chain strap for aesthetics.
The Necktie - I used MimiG’s Sew It Academy tutorial for menswear to make this tie.
I love that these pieces can be worn together or separately. I paired the top with jeans and the skirt with a Tshirt. I also wore the hat and fanny pack with McCalls 7348 (see the last pics). I hope you enjoy the photos. There are a lot!
