Pattern Description: Simplicity 8656 Misses' Knit Skirt and Top
Pattern Sizing: XXS - XXL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Somewhat except for the modifications I made.
Were the instructions easy to follow? I've made this top so many times, that I don't need the instructions but they are pretty straight forward.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love this pattern if you can't already tell. I've made it like a thousand times.
Fabric Used: I'm not sure what fabric this is. It was gifted several years ago. I used ribbed knitting from Pacific Trim.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added ribbed knitting to the arm and bottom. I also used bias binding around the neck.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Definitely. Yes.

Pattern Sizing: 8-18. I cut a size 18.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Somewhat. I only used the bottom of the jumpsuit to make joggers.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked how easy it was to come together.
Fabric Used: I am not sure what fabric this is. It was gifted to me. I also used ribbed knitting from Pacific Trim.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I only used the bottom part of the jumpsuit to make joggers. I also shortened the length and added ribbed knitting to the cuff. I added a waistband casing and elastic.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. I'm in the process on making this whole outfit again in stretch satin.
Helen’s Closet Costa Tote
I made the Costa Tote to go with my outfit. I wanted a beach vibe look so I used net fabric for the outer layer.
**This was my wearable muslin. I loved how it turned out. I will need to make a few adjustments to pants as the crotch was a little short (which could be because I used these as pants instead of a jumpsuit).**
