Breeze Shirt

Pattern by Twig + Tale

Pattern Description: The Breeze Shirt is a simple and casual pullover-style top.
Pattern Sizing: 32" - 60" chest measurement. I cut out a size 60" for my husband.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were very easy to follow and there were also video tutorials for more detailed instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love how easy it came together and the finished product. I don't have any dislikes. I did struggle a little with the collar and the facing pieces (which was more of user error). I had too much seam allowance in the facing and had to let some of it out so the collar would fit and then so the facing would fit the neckline. In the end, it worked out nicely.
Fabric Used: I used cotton fabric that had a linen look to it.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The pattern instructions suggest french seams (I'm using the word suggest humorously). I only did french seams on the shoulders. I needed a little extra room in the sides so I decided to just stitch them up the regular way and then serge the seams. Since the sleeve is stitched with the side seams, it was also stitched without a french seam.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes! This is the third item I've made for my husband and he couldn't be more thrilled. He already wants one in every color. He sent me a picture of a shirt that he wanted and the Breeze Shirt was very similar to the shirt he sent me. He's glad to have finally made the "Zina Is Sewing Make List" (things that I make). Previously, only me and my son were on this list. LOL.
Conclusion: I love the finished look and he loves it also. I am happy I was able to make him something nice. I just wish there were more patterns for men and more big and tall patterns.
