Pattern Description: Pencil Case, Pochette, Clutch (I made the the clutch)

Pattern Sizing: N/A

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes. From the phot on the pattern envelope, I thought this was going to be smaller. It's a nice size for a clutch.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Fairly. I was a little stumped at first with the construction, but then I reread the instructions and it all made sense.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Likes - it is a fairly quick project and I like the finishing touches. I didn't like how difficult it was to sew the center seam in the front of the clutch. I basically had to roll up the back of the clutch so I could the front seam. It was terribly difficult. I'm wondering if having a back seam would make this easier to sew.

Fabric Used: I used a rose denim for the exterior and a green and white polka dot cotton for the lining. Both came from Joann's Fabrics.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The pattern called for woven interfacing. I added decovil interfacing which made the bag stiff. I like the outcome, but the decovil made the bag more difficult to sew the center front seam. I also added a removable wristlet to make carrying easier. I also made my own bias piping out of the green and white polka dot cotton. That was my first time making piping and I love the results.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm definitely sewing again. I am trying to decide if I will use decovil again or woven interfacing.
