Paging Nurse Zina!

Pattern Description: Unisex Uniforms (Dress, Belt, Top, Skirt, Pants, Hat & Ponytail Holder)

Pattern Sizing: Size LRG (L-XL); I made view B in a size XL

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, except for the changes I made.

Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were very easy to follow.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like how easy this pattern came together and finished look.

Fabric Used: Minerva Fabric - Stretch Cotton Twill You can find the fabric here.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I wasn't sure about the fit/sizing so I added about an inch to the center front fold and center back fold. I'm glad I did because this gave me a little wiggle room. I also added about an inch to front facing. I didn't add the ties in the back; instead I added a button and buttonhole to close the back at the neck.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. I plan to make this again in actually cotton scrub-like fabric. Yes I would recommend to others.

Conclusion: I wanted to make scrubs for work (I’m a media specialist for the public school system) to wear as my uniform. Another teacher wears scrubs everyday so she doesn’t have to think about clothes and so she won’t bring germs home (due to COVID). She throws them in the washer as soon as she gets home. I thought, “Wow! That’s a great idea!” However, I didn’t want to buy scrubs, I wanted to make them. Specifically, I wanted to make a scrub dress or skirt - something different. This cotton twill fabric is not the typical scrub fabric, but it worked. I see a few more of these in my future.
