Pattern Description: Misses' Knit Caftans
Pattern Sizing: XXS - XXL. I cut View D in a size L. This pattern is a little oversized.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Somewhat I made a few changes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were very easy. There are only about six steps and I read through them before I started sewing. I didn't even need the instructions while I was sewing except to review the sleeve detail.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love this pattern. I am a fan of minimal pattern pieces and minimal instructions.
Fabric Used: I used a printed Liverpool knit from Marcy Tilton Fabrics.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: 1. I cut the front and back pieces out on the fold (this was different from the original instructions). 2. I added pockets. You gotta have pockets. Originally, I placed the pockets too low then I moved them up to the notch in the side. 3. Instead of using elastic in the neckline, I added a neck band from the same fabric as the dress. 4. I also didn't add the bottom piece of the pattern so the dress would be shorter.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Definitely yes!
